Opportunities
for Individual Horse Owners
Individual
horse owners are encouraged to get in touch with their breed associations
at the local, regional or national level to coordinate their participation
in Equine Affaire through their associations. Owners may also contact
Debbie Putnam, the Equine Affaire Breed Coordinator, who will refer them
on to the appropriate contact person for their breed or color registry.
Those horse owners
whose breed associations or color registries have not yet made plans to
exhibit at Equine Affaire have the following options for participation:
- Encourage your
association to become involved as an exhibitor in the Breed Pavilion
and then work through your association. Arrange for your horse to be
one of the horses chosen to represent the breed within an exhibit stall
in the Breed Pavilion, within the Promotional Area and in the Breed
Demonstration.
- Purchase two or
more stalls (one for the horse and one as a promotion area) in the Horse
& Farm Exhibits area from which to market your stallion, your farm,
your training facility or other horse-related services.
Horse & Farm Exhibits Area
A
prime area of stalls in the Gilligan Complex is designated as the Horse
& Farm Exhibits Area. This exhibit area is open to the public and
intended to compliment the Breed Pavilion by offering individual horse
owners an exhibit area in which to market their horses, farms, and training/breeding
services. The area also offers a second venue in which showcase
horses are "rotated" through exhibit stalls in the Breed Pavilion.
Purchase of one or more stalls in Horse & Farm Exhibits includes
a one-line listing (stall number(s), farm name, horse breed, phone number)
in the event program. Each exhibitor is required to purchase or
share a tack stall.
Horse/tack stalls
are the same price. The purchase of an exhibit stall does not include
admission to the event, bedding, or electrical service. Bedding will be
available for purchase on site.
